A true local lad, Shane returned to play cricket with the lads in 2004 with great success. At around 6ft 5", Shane isn’t afraid to throw his weight about and is proud of his regular abuse of opposing batsmen following his poor deliveries. With hands like buckets, he takes catches with ease all season long. A right arm bowler of considerable strength, he bowled 23 straight overs against Selby in September, and then stayed in bed for three days. Not known for his batting, Shane produced the performance of the season at No. 10 against TABS, when he and Johnny Armitage put on 90 for the 9th wicket with Shane top scoring at 42 not out.
