Ben is almost as good at cricket as he is at tipping horses! A Sheriff lad, he has been with the club since he was a nipper. Capable of bowling a decent length and proving to be an excellent fielder, it is with the bat that Ben really excels, though his average last year would suggest otherwise. He scored his maiden century in 2001 v Thirsk, and the season before cracked a fine 80 to successfully chase the game at Pocklington. When one day pondering the question every red blooded male would like to ask "Does your dad own a brewery?" he opted for the next best thing as his fiancee hails from the local Highwayman pub! Puts a new meaning to spending an evening with the in-laws!
